This guide will help you set up your Daasity D2C Suite account. It will walk you through, but you are welcome to hop on a conference call and walk you through. Setup should take about 15 minutes.
Here’s a little background information about the product. There are two main parts to the Daasity Analytics platform:
- The Daasity Admin app (https://app.daasity.com)
- The Analytics / Reporting Visualization app
Setting up your admin account
During the initial setup we would like to setup the following FIVE (5) integrations:
- eCommerce - Shopify
- Site Analytics - Google Analytics
- Site Analytics - Google Analytics: Multi-Channel Funnel
- Ads/ Marketing Spend - Google Ads
- Ads/ Marketing Spend - Facebook Ads
We recommend Setting up the integrations in the following order:
- Shopify - do this first so when you configure your other integrations you may connect them to your Shopify account
- Google Analytics
- Google Analytics: Multi-Channel Funnel
- Google Ads
- Facebook Ads
Setting up Shopify
Click the Integrations link in the nav on the left hand side, then click the New Integration button in the upper right hand corner. Choose Shopify or Shopify Plus from our list of available integrations.
SHOPIFY VS SHOPIFY PLUS:
The main difference in functionality between the Shopify and Shopify Plus Integrations is that the Shopify Plus integration supports the ability to report on gift cards.
Fill out your Shopify Integration information. Note that the store domain name should be the subdomain of your Shopify admin URL.
Click the green [Create] button in the top right corner.
Once created, you will then Activate the integration. Click the [Activate] button.
This will redirect you to Shopify and display a screen asking permission to grant Daasity access to your Shopify Data.
Click the [Install unlisted app] button. You will then be redirected back to the Daasity App.
At this point, Shopify is all set up and we may start a history load.
Setting up Google Analytics
From the Integrations page, once again click the New Integration button in the upper right hand corner and choose Google Analytics.
Fill out the Google Analytics information.
The GA Integration requires you to Authorize access first, so we may help you select the proper Analytics account ID. Click the [Authorize] button. This will redirect you to a Google page. You will be prompted to grant Daasity access to your Google Analytics Account.
Click the [Allow] button.
You will be redirected back to the Admin App. Select the View ID and select your Shopify store and click [Create]. At this point, your Google Analytics Integration setup is complete and we may start a history load.
Setup Google Ads
From the Integrations page, once again click the New Integration button in the upper right hand corner and choose Google Ads.
Fill out the Google Ads information.
The Google Ads Integration requires you to Authorize access first. You must enter your Google Ads account ID first. Then click the [Authorize] button. This will redirect you to a Google page. You will be prompted to grant Daasity access to your Google Analytics Account.
Click the [Allow] button.
You will be redirected back to the Admin App. Click [Create]. At this point, your Google Ads Integration setup is complete and we may start a history load.
Setup Facebook Ads
From the Integrations page, once again click the New Integration button in the upper right hand corner and choose Facebook Ads
Enter your Facebook account information. We only require the account ID.
You may click [Create], but we still need to activate the integration.
Facebook is different than other integrations. Facebook requires that you add Daasity as a Partner before you can successfully activate the integration. There are 6 steps to perform.
Refer to this article in Facebook for Adding a partner - note you may have already done this before with your ad agencies. In summary, these steps are:
- Go to Business Settings.
- Below Users click Partners.
- Click the + Add button.
- Enter the Daasity Business ID 220721691970176 and click Next.
- Choose a type of asset in the first column (Ad Accounts), then select the individual assets you want to add your Partner to in the second column (Ads) and assign a role for your Partner in the third column (Ads Analyst).
- Click Assign Assets.
At this point Daasity is a partner. However, we must confirm the partnership in our account and complete the setup. At this point, you should notify Daasity that the integration is set up and is waiting for us to complete the setup. Once we complete the setup, we will activate the integration and we may start the historical data load.
Setting up your visualization account
If you are a Pro merchant, you will receive a Welcome email from Looker. This is the invitation to activate your account in the Visualization part of the product.
Click the [Activate Your Account] button, fill in your information and you’ll be done! Once completed, you will have access to the Analytics / Report part of the product.
It is worth noting that the dashboards and reports will be empty. Don’t panic! This is normal. Once your integrations are set up, history has been loaded, and your transformation code has run, you will start to see data populating in your dashboards. Usually data is available the day after setting up your integrations, however it may take several days to load history for certain integrations.
