Daily snapshot of business performance

Dashboard Description
The Daily and Weekly Flash dashboards are a quick way to compare performance in six key metrics vs relevant time periods and vs your revenue or marketing plan. The six metrics:
- Traffic
- CVR (Conversion Rate)
- Orders
- AOV
- Gross Sales
- Vendor Reported ROAS
The Daily Flash gives you comparisons for each metric vs last year over four different time frames, Yesterday, Week to Date (WTD), Month to Date (MTD), Year to Date (YTD). The metrics for yesterday are also compared against the same day from last week.
The Weekly Flash moves the Weekly section to the top of the dashboard with MTD and YTD sections at the bottom of the dashboard.
In the middle of each dashboard are trend visualizations to show you how performance is trending over the last 90 days. Note that the filters at the top of the dashboard can be used to change those timeframes and to change the date types in the visualizations (you can change the daily numbers to weekly or monthly).
Getting an understanding of your brand’s current trajectory, relative to past and planned, is crucial in understanding the overall health of your brand. We’ve highlighted key performance metrics to help you stay on top of your data and answer the question “Is my brand performing to expectations?”. At-a-glance indicators tell you if things are going well and you can focus on strategy, or if things are going off-track, you have an idea of where to dig in and fix.
HOW TO USE THIS DASHBOARD:
The Daily Flash and Weekly Flash dashboards can be explored like any other dashboard, however they were designed to be scheduled as a daily or weekly email attachment. For more information on how to schedule a dashboard or report, see here.
DATA WARNING:
The Daily Flash dashboard contains different data depending on the product type:
GROWTH
- Order data includes all non-retail orders
- Conversion data includes total traffic divided by non-recurring orders (subscription orders are excluded)
PRO
- Order data includes all Daasity Valid non-retail orders. See here for more information on Daasity valid vs valid orders
- Conversion data includes total traffic divided by non-recurring orders (subscription orders are excluded)
You may easily update the Traffic, Order, and Revenue Filter at the top of the dashboard to isolate a store or group of stores.
There are three distinct sections in the Daily Flash and Weekly Flash dashboards:
Comparison Vs Yesterday

Section A: The top section shows the six key metrics outlined above for Yesterday. This also provides comparisons against the same day last week and the same day last year. Note that these are comparing day of week, so if yesterday was a Monday then the comparison is against the Monday from last week and the Monday from last year with the most similar date. This is also adjusted for holidays to make sure that Black Monday this year is compared vs Black Monday last year.
If including Amazon data, note that how Amazon classifies transactions is different from Shopify. Amazon may have orders that were place in a status of "Pending", which typically indicates the payment method has not been verified. When orders have a status of Pending, Amazon does not include the $ value of the order in its API data, which means you may be under-reporting your revenue in the days after the order was actually placed.
The Weekly performance is using the NRF 4-5-4 calendar and is date-adjusted to compare to the same retail days year over year.
Performance Visualizations
Section B: In the center of the report you will see graphics of the same six key metrics over the last 90 days. These make it easier to see trends over time and identify, for example, when a key metric may have started declining.
WTD, MTD, YTD Comparisons

Section C: The bottom section mimics the top, but uses the time periods for Week to Date, Month to Date, and Year to Date. The comparisons are against the same time period from the previous year.
