This article outlines why your "Missing from GA" may have increased and potential fixes for the problem
Do you see something like this when looking at your channel distribution and seen a large increase in orders that are tagged as "Missing from GA"?
In the Daasity Platform "Missing from GA" means that when trying to match a transaction between the Order Source (ex: Shopify) and Google Analytics, Daasity is unable to create a link between the two platforms. There are two reasons why this might happen:
- The data does not exist in Google Analytics. You can validate this to see if the number of orders in Google Analytics is close (within 10% of the orders in your eCommerce platform)
- Daasity is unable to match the Transaction ID in Google Analytics to your eCommerce platform.
For Shopify, Daasity matches on the following two fields:
- The Order Code (Number)
- The Checkout ID
If you have setup your Google Analytics tags on your website to pass a value other than these two then Daasity will be unable to match your Transaction ID in GA to your eCommerce platform.
